The Center for the Study of Multiculturalism and Diversity will explore the issues of homogeneity and diversity on both academic and practical levels, to ensure that all students feel welcome within its gates, and to foster an environment where Israel's future leaders come to know, learn, respect and appreciate the other as part of their higher education experience.
Such a Center will serve to facilitate ethno-cultural pluralism on The Hebrew University campus, not only providing the setting for the academic exploration of multiculturalism, but also a comfortable space within the University for students, faculty members, and staff of all backgrounds to meet, study, work, and socialize together, conjointly exposed to the concept of diversity as life enhancing in a ‘real sense’.
Led by a diverse, well-rounded, and world-renowned group of scholars, the Center for the Study of Multiculturalism will be the first academic center of its kind in Israel
